Monadnock Introduces Durascent for Scented Fragrance Industries

Monadnock Paper Mills, Inc. today announced the addition of a new line of specialty paper stocks specifically designed for the scented product industries named DurascentTM.

The new Durascent line has been created to address the needs of leading scent developers and brand-owners in the fragrance, personal care, in-home, and ambient air control markets for paper stocks that retain and impart accurate scent. Durascent stocks are specially formulated to enhance scent absorption, retention, fidelity, and "throw." Durascent is also manufactured to tight moisture control specifications and formulated to a pH that matches the pH of the human skin, ensuring accuracy of fragrance. Durascent retains a bright white shade without yellowing or bleeding, and maintains its stiffness even after print and scent applications. "With Durascent, Monadnock expands its integrated portfolio of printing and packaging offerings to further assist brand-owners in connecting with consumers at visual, emotional, and experiential levels," said Dave Lunati, Director of Marketing for Monadnock. Durascent is manufactured in 12 and 19 pt calipers with Tappi brightness ratings of 96 and 93, respectively. Both grades boast exceptionally smooth and well-formed surfaces suitable for offset printing and post-press processes such as embossing and foil stamping.
